Hello,
Well, my daughter is 2 and has had a fever up and down now for about three weeks and she's been in and out of the hospital. Her fever got as high as 105. They did chest x-ray, urine test, and blood tests and weren't able to figure out what was wrong. Yesterday she was went back to the hospital (it was her birthday) and they wanted another chest x-ray and a CT scan, but we said we didn't want the CT scan just do the x-ray. So they FINALLY found out that she has early pneumonia. She now has to go in and get a shot everyday for 10 days. It's so scary when you have your little baby thats sick and no one gives you any answers. Trust me, I know how you feel. Hang in there, it will get resolved! I hope everything is ok with your little one and mine!

I wish Gavin, and family the best. I don't know alot about Gavin's problems but from what I read, he has alot of high fevers. I am 45 yrs. old, was sitting here researching the internet, wondering why I had a ct-scan as a very young infant, a convulsion after having the smallpox vaccination, along with 105 fever, and I had a spinal tap as a baby due to high fever. The long and short of it is, I have always had high fevers, including 2 years ago, my thermometer read 105 degrees. The thermometer only went up to 106. I am a 45 year old working girl who has suffered from allergies and sinus infections her entire life. My ENTs had folders so thick of my files, they could have used a briefcase just for them. After my Mother recently found out she has an auto-immune deficiency, including ITP, I had my ENT send my blood off for lab tests and sure enough, I am now seeing a Hemotologist regularly because I have auto immune deficiencies....I am IgG3 deficient. My body does not make antibodies to kill infection like most people. I can get sick very easily because I can't fight it off. I now have to take 1,000 mg of Biaxin everday to keep me from getting SICK and feverish. Have you thought of having Gavin's IgG levels checked? I lived an entire lifetime sick, and with fevers....until mid-40s, thanks now to daily antibiotics. It is worth considering looking into this. I would not want anyone to live a life like me. I hope Gavin is okay and recovers very soon. -Karen

Let's hope they can pin point Gavin's problem quickly so he can get onto the road to recovery faster. Hang in there. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
